Very disappointing when you read an article, and see poor spelling and bad punctuation.

There is a block of text, that seems to go on for ages, without taking a break. When you do not read you can not see any errors in your writing.

Take a break and read again what you have written, errors will so jump out. That is how we spot problems, be are own editor first, then ask someone else to have a look at our work.

Having just submitted an assignment, I realised that something I had written, though it was not wrong it was not very well explained.

My tutor commenting maybe she was being a bit harsh with are critic?

Reality was no she was not harsh, it was a comment that was truly needed, so that I pay more attention to my work the next time.

Like reading and answering a question for an assignment. It takes you to read before you answer a question.

Just like you need to read to be able to hone your craft as a writer.
